Becoming a Trustee is one of the most powerful ways you can contribute to your local community whilst utilising and building a wealth of skills.  As independent charities, local Home-Starts require Trustees to serve on their governing body (board), taking responsibility for directing the management of the organisation and leading on strategy.  It is a fantastic opportunity to support your community whilst also developing your skillset in the workplace.

Our Board of Trustees meet 6 times a year with the additional opportunity to join or lead sub-committees for finance, strategy and fundraising.  We ask for a commitment of approximately 10 hours per month and training will be provided.

We are seeking individuals with experience or knowledge in any of the following areas:

• Publicity and marketing

• Fundraising/grant applications

• Human Resources and change management

• Finance

• General leadership and strategy

We wish to appoint 2-3 additional Trustees to our Board including a Vice-Chair.

So if you are interested in making a real difference in your community whilst developing your own skills, then please get in touch:
