Six new wonderful volunteers have now completed their preparation course to become Home-Start Cambridgeshire volunteers.
They are so excited to begin their volunteering journey, with one saying:
“Signing up to volunteer for Home-Start was exciting but also very nerve racking at the start. I wanted to give back to the charity that had given me so much help when my children were young. I’ve now completed my prep course and by doing so – feel confident and empowered, with tools ready to start giving back and to hopefully make a difference to those families in positions I was once in myself. I can’t thank you enough to the wonderful team that run Home-Start Cambridgeshire. If it wasn’t for you all, I wouldn’t feel half as ready nor eager to be matched with my first family. I can do this!”
Our army of volunteers are the beating heart of our organisation and the reason we are able to reach so many families each year. Thank you to these six wonderful humans who are all bringing their own set of unique skills and experiences to Home-Start Cambridgeshire. We couldn’t be happier that you chose to support Home-Start families and we promise to support you every step of the way.
