Hayley joined the team as Chief Executive Officer in January 2024 following a successful career in business. Hayley is responsible for the delivery of our strategic objectives and believes deeply in the core purpose of the charity.  When asked what attracted her to the role, Hayley shared the following:

“I am delighted to be appointed as CEO here at Home-Start Cambridgeshire.  The charity has some solid foundations, dating back to 1989, and now it’s time to build on them.  There is an urgent need to prioritise the early years, as investment in this period of development is currently disproportionately low in the UK.  The Royal Foundation have shared an excellent report which clearly demonstrates that early childhood represents one of the best investments we can make for the long-term health, wellbeing, and happiness of our society.  Our future outcomes are profoundly shaped by our first five years.  Unfortunately, many families experience challenges which make it difficult to create nurturing homes that give children the best start in life.  The part Home-Start Cambridgeshire plays is to offer tailored support to families in our county which empowers parents with the skills, knowledge, and emotional resilience to raise their children to flourish.  I couldn’t be happier to be part of this important mission to give as many children as possible the best start in life”.
