Team China Charity Challenge
‘Team China’, are embarking on a Charity Challenge this September to raise awareness and funds for Home-Start Cambridgeshire in Home-Start’s 30th anniversary year.
They will be trekking for 50 km along the Great Wall of China over 5 days and are busy training for what is described as a challenging, demanding trek with ‘relentless’ steps!
Their story and the reasons why they are so keen to raise funds for Home-Start are included on their team fund raising page (http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/team/TeamChina).
Please take the time to have a read and if you are able to donate you will greatly encourage and support the team in their challenge to raise funds for Home-Start.
What an amazing evening was had at our Valentines Concert in aid of Home-Start Cambridgeshire. Over 70 people watched Lepetit Ensemble at Hughes Hall on Friday night in a celebration of love. There was something for everyone of all ages to appreciate. As one concert goer enthuses “A wonderful evening! I wasn’t sure if it was for me. However, the intimate venue set the scene for the two very accomplished performers who sang and performed beautifully adding plenty of unexpected fun and humour throughout!”.
Special thanks go to our sponsors and supporters that made this event possible. To Hughes Hall for the fantastic venue and the staff who helped make it all happen. To Beautiful Balloons, Royston for helping us to make the venue look romantic with the lovely balloons. And to the following for raffle prizes: The Oak Bistro, Cambridge, The Park Seasons Restaurant and Hair and Beauty at Cambridge Regional College, Cambridge Arts Theatre and Waitrose Trumpington.
